UTS - Temporary Radiology Technician at NC State

The primary duties of this position include the following:

Taking X-ray images of the human body per order by provider.
Interact with internal staff, patients, and referring providers through email, phone, and in-person communications.
Keeping equipment clean and in working order.
Responsible for maintaining equipment and quality control.
Attend scheduled meetings, drills, and training.
Perform technical procedures, including patient positioning for radiographs and digital image capturing.
Provide excellent patient care by applying full knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
Provide quick and accurate information regarding each patient, acting as a liaison between clinicians and radiologists.
Proficiently enter data into the electronic health record.
Maintain a clean working environment to ensure standards are followed and infection is not spread.
Handle medical, biological, and infectious waste appropriately.
Follow all radiation safety, OSHA, and Environmental Health and Safety standards.
