Emergency Management Specialist

The Emergency Management Specialist supports Winston-Salem State University’s emergency management, preparedness, response, recovery, mitigation, and business continuity programs. The position works closely with University departments, the State of North Carolina, local emergency management agencies, public safety agencies, and other external partners to strengthen the University’s ability to prepare for and respond to emergencies.

The position assists with compliance with applicable State of North Carolina emergency management requirements, federal emergency management standards, the National Incident Management System (NIMS), Incident Command System (ICS), and other applicable laws, regulations, policies, and best practices.
