Assistant Director, Office for Institutional Compliance at Missouri State University-Springfield, Springfield, MO
  1. Assists the Director, Office for Institutional Compliance and Title IX Coordinator in ensuring University compliance with Applicable EO Laws.
  2. Serves as the Deputy Title IX Coordinator.
  3. Assures proper handling of reported discrimination and/or harassment incidents by processing complaints from faculty, staff, and students in accord with appropriate University Policies, conducts investigations of alleged discrimination and/or harassment, and advises complainants of all options available, within and outside the University system.
  4. Assists the Director, Office for Institutional Compliance and Title IX Coordinator in comprehensive case management of complaints involving alleged discrimination based on a protected class, including providing significant assistance with ongoing case tracking and management across OIC investigations.
  5. Fulfills Title IX regulatory and policy duties and manages the day-to-day responsibilities of the OIC in the absence of the Director of the Office for Institutional Compliance / Title IX Coordinator.
  6. Helps ensure that the University’s employment practices comply with federal and state regulations by providing training and reviewing and approving job searches in compliance with Applicable EO Laws.
  7. Administers surveys and notifications as needed institutionally and as required for compliance with Applicable EO Laws (e.g., VETS 4212 report).
  8. Provides guidance and training to University system constituents on issues within the jurisdiction of the Office for Institutional Compliance and may serve on committees if requested.
  9. Travels to the University’s West Plains and Mountain Grove campuses as needed.
  10. Remains competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development courses, and attending training as required.
  11. Contributes to the overall success of the University by performing other duties as assigned.
