Assistant Professor (Social Studies and/or History Education) - 9 month appointment

The successful candidate will be one of three faculty in the department whose primary responsibilities include providing courses in Secondary Social Science methods, supervising pre-service teachers, and other administrative duties as related to education accreditation and advising. Candidates must be prepared to serve as the Director of the BSED program. Additional undergraduate and graduate course offerings will depend upon the successful candidate’s area of specialization in history and/or area studies. Candidates must have relevant teaching experience in a secondary classroom and Ph.D. in History or History/Social Studies Education or related field.
