Description of Job Duty:

Obtains, pays, and receives invoices, monthly account and procard/travel reconciliation, control of expenditures from accounts, budget revision creation, and similar tasks. Maintains and reconciles various departmental and college indexes. Log transactions and reconcile numerous college and departmental accounts. Submits travel estimates on behalf of travelers through internal college forms to supervisor for college review. Initiates hiring paperwork for faculty, graduate students, adjuncts, temporary employees, etc. Receive, log, and deliver deposits. Assist in drafting contracts to be used in conjunction with external partners. Independently manages special projects assigned by the supervisor. Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

The position requires sedentary to light physical work which may include but not be limited to: sitting at a desk for extended periods of time in a climate controlled environment, use of typical office equipment (telephone, computer, copier, scanner, fax), close visual work, sufficient hearing and speech to communication via in person, telephone and virtually, as well as light lifting, outdoor exposure during college events, and mobility across campus.

Work Hours:

Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

Salary:

Level S2, Grade 6. Salary commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years clerical or related experience. Ability to interpret and follow office policies and procedures. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, faculty and other personnel. Evidence of typing ability, computer skills and ability to use word processing and other software.

Preferred Qualifications:

A bachelors degree or financial experience especially in a university setting are preferred. Experience using Talon and/or Adobe Acrobat is also preferred.
