Certified Medical Assistant

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) provides patient care in an ambulatory setting with kindness and compassion under the direction of the physician or other designated licensed staff. The position works as part of a team with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and students in the health professions. The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) reports to the Office Manager, Health Services.

Note that this position requires Tuberculosis screening as well as proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis through lab confirmation of immunity, documented evidence of vaccination, or a doctor’s diagnosis of disease.
