Literacy Tutor

Eastern Oregon University Reading Clinic is currently seeking applicants for part-time literacy tutors.

Candidates should demonstrate:

Ability and willingness to learn specific tutoring techniques and use the provided curricula accurately and effectively.
Ability and willingness to learn basic literacy assessment protocols
Ability to provide literacy tutoring multiple days per week (3-4) at various times of the day.
Ability to work effectively with young children in small groups or one-on-one situations
Ability to receive and apply feedback
Ability to maintain a positive attitude and a growth mindset while working with children
Organizational skills to accurately record student progress daily
Ability to communicate effectively with parents and children using both verbal and written communication
