Instructor, Chemistry

Winthrop University is seeking applicants with expertise in organic or biochemistry for a multi-year, non-tenure-track Instructor of Chemistry position, with employment to begin August 2027.

The Chemistry Department (https://www.winthrop.edu/cas/chemistry/) hosts ACS-approved and ASBMB-accredited chemistry and biochemistry undergraduate programs focused on student professional development and career readiness. The department offers small classes with rigorous, innovative curricula and emphasizes year-round engagement in national-caliber undergraduate research. The successful candidate will join a collegial team of 10 other chemistry/biochemistry faculty and two support scientists housed in modern facilities, including newly renovated teaching labs and excellent instrumentation for teaching and research.
