Budget Analyst I at University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Lincoln, NE
At the University of Nebraska’s College of Engineering, our mission is to train the next generation engineering workforce and solve problems of global importance.

As a Budget Analyst I, you will:
  • Provide budget and financial analysis for the College of Engineering Dean's office.
  • Review and analyze overall College and department budgets to aid in decision making processes.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis of financial data for dean-level decision-making.
  • Troubleshoot budget and financial commitment issues, understanding the complex requirements of each fund type and providing advice to unit leaders.
  • Reconcile and monitor financial status of college funds on a monthly basis including state, revolving, and foundation accounts.
  • Assist with the development of the annual operating budget, day-to-day operating budget, and the update and maintenance of SAP Org Management.
  • Represent interests in college and university committees and task forces.
  • Be administratively responsible to the Assistant Dean of Business and Financial Affairs,

Following an initial training period of up to six months, this position may become eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with four days in office and one day remote each week. Hybrid arrangements are subject to supervisor approval and are determined based on operational needs.
