Saco Watershed Collaborative Outreach and Communications Coordinator
University of New England Biddeford, ME
The work of the Coordinator is structured to support the Mission, Vision, Values, and Strategic Priorities of both UNE and the Saco Watershed Collaborative (SWC). The Coordinator is also accountable to the SWC’s Sustainability Committee, which is charged with ensuring the project’s long-term sustainability.
The Coordinator is expected to initiate “high-touch” front-line interaction with UNE students, faculty, staff, community members, and other stakeholders. The Coordinator will build strong relationships within the UNE community, the SWC, the region and beyond, especially those relationships that are supportive of student learning, in a respectful, safe, and inclusive manner.
The Coordinator is responsible for providing front line administrative, supervisory, and programmatic services to the SWC. The Coordinator is “the face of the Saco Watershed Collaborative” – and plays an essential role in modeling many principles, ranging from diversity, equity, and inclusion to environmental health, wellness, and long-term sustainability.
