PS Clinical Nurse PRN

The University of Utah College of Nursing seeks a registered nurse to provide clinical support in Juvenile Justice and Youth Services (JJYS) facilities. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a nurse-led clinic that emphasizes independent practice, teamwork, and quality care for adolescents in secure and detention settings.
In this role, you will assess patients, implement clinical interventions, develop care plans, and make a real impact on the lives of youth in JJYS custody. This position is based includes JJYS facilities from Provo to Ogden, with regular collaboration across the clinical team and facility partners.
We seek a self-motivated, dependable, and organized nurse who is comfortable serving as the primary on-site clinical staff member during scheduled hours. This role requires strong nursing judgment, proactive communication, and the ability to manage routine clinic responsibilities independently while maintaining close connection with the broader care team. A nurse practitioner provides support remotely; the successful candidate is expected to communicate clearly, identify follow-up needs, and consult or escalate concerns when additional guidance is needed.
