PS Cardiovascular Perfusionist

We are looking for a strong team player, hard worker, and an individual with a desire to help the program succeed. The University of Utah Hospital performs approximately 1000+ cardiac cases per year. We are involved in a wide variety of cardiac cases including, but not limited to: CABG, valve, LVAD, RVAD, heart and lung transplantation, NRP, complex aortic cases, Pulmonary Thromboendarterectomy, adult congenital, etc. Perfusion also provides services related to auto-transfusion, component therapy, coagulation testing, TAVR’s and HIPEC. There is minimal involvement with ECMO and occasionally Intra-aortic Balloon pumps. We are affiliated with the University of Utah School of Medicine which has a rich history of providing excellent medical training and provides the opportunity to teach and train upcoming perfusion students through its Masters level Perfusion Program. All clinical perfusionists will be part of the clinical education of these students and may also have the opportunity to teach didactically in the classroom. On-call responsibilities during the week, as well as weekends, and holidays are divided amongst the team.
