UU Student - Instruction
University of Utah Salt Lake City, UT
Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leads are students who facilitate weekly group study sessions in courses that they have successfully completed.
SI Leads utilize collaborative learning techniques to ensure peer-to-peer interaction in small groups.
They plan and implement weekly sessions that guide students through difficult course concepts and share strategies they and others used to be successful in the course.
SI Leads are appointed for 1 semester and typically work 3-6 hours per week; frequency/duration to be determined before the semester begins and modified as needed to suit the needs of the learners and the availability of the SI Lead.
SI Leads may also be asked to conduct one-on-one tutoring for students who have been identified as in need of additional academic support by the course instructor and Student Affairs.
Only Doctorate of Physical Therapy students that qualify for Work Study will be considered.
