PhD Position at Ocean Flow and Flow-Structure Interaction

About the Project

The successful candidate will contribute to developing advanced numerical models to analyze coastal ocean flows and fluid-structure interactions. The research will involve creating innovative modeling approaches and enhancing existing algorithms to address critical challenges in marine engineering and environmental fluid dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Develop numerical models for coastal ocean flow simulations.
• Conduct advanced research on fluid-structure interactions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary research team to publish findings in high-impact journals.
• Present research outcomes at national and international conferences.

Eligibility Requirements

• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, ocean engineering, applied mathematics, or related fields.
• Strong foundation in mathematics and physics.
• Experience with computer programming in languages such as Fortran, C++, or Python.
• Familiarity with flow modeling and algorithm development is preferred.
• A background in both mathematics and engineering is particularly welcome.
