The Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance (FDEF) at the University of Luxembourg offers a unique and rigorous PhD program in Finance. The program follows the standard international format:
Year 1: Rigorous coursework as part of the Master in Quantitative Economics and Finance (MQEF). Courses are taught in English by faculty members and visiting scholars from top institutions, such as Princeton and the University of Chicago.
Years 2–5: Research-focused years where students work on projects leading to their doctoral thesis.

Your Responsibilities
As a PhD candidate in Finance, you will:

Eligibility Requirements
We are seeking highly motivated candidates with:
A strong academic background in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other quantitative fields.
Excellent quantitative and computational skills.
A good command of written and spoken English.
A genuine interest in Finance, Economics, or Statistics/Econometrics.
Candidates with degrees in quantitative disciplines are particularly encouraged to apply.
