Department Chair (Computer Science)

The Chair of the Department of Computer Science at Angelo State University provides academic, administrative, and strategic leadership for a dynamic department committed to excellence in teaching, student success, curriculum innovation, and faculty collaboration. Reporting to the Dean of the College of Science and Engineering, the Chair is responsible for fostering a student-centered culture that promotes retention, graduation, and career readiness while ensuring a high-quality, cohesive curriculum across undergraduate and graduate programs.

The Chair will lead efforts to strengthen academic programs through continuous assessment and improvement, support faculty development and scholarly activity, promote a collaborative and inclusive departmental culture, and build partnerships that enhance student learning and workforce preparation. The successful candidate will provide visionary yet practical leadership that balances innovation with operational excellence and advances the mission of the department, the college, and Angelo State University.
