**This posting will remain open to generate a pool of qualified student applicants for available positions during the semester**

The SI Leader will assist students in academic achievement by working closely with faculty, attending classes and holding SI sessions to review and reinforce course content. This program is a supplement to teaching and independent study. The SI Leader position reports to the Director of Academic Success Centers, as well as the Faculty/Department they are supporting.

  • Attend class and model effective classroom behavior
  • Conduct regularly scheduled one-hour group study (SI sessions) 2 to 5 times a week
  • Integrate study strategies (process) with course content
  • Keep regular and accurate records of SI, using the Navigate online program
  • Develop and maintain relationships with professor, student participants, and SI staff
  • Work some hours in the Tutor Center for those students who cannot make scheduled session times
