E. V. Wilkins Endowed Professor/ Distinguished Scholar

This Endowed Professor will support existing programs and activities of the department and provide leadership for the following initiatives: development of a rural teacher/administrative training program in collaboration with rural school districts and communities; establishment of summer institutes and professional development opportunities for P-12 teachers, administrators, school boards and other community stakeholders; and development and teaching of advanced training programs. In addition, the chair will continue to pursue scholarly activities and secure external funds to support initiatives; serve on university, local and state committees, boards, task forces and make in-service presentations to community constituents, etc.
