TRIO Student Support Services Program Peer Tutor

Under the supervision of the Coordinator/Counselor of the Student Support Services Program, the incumbent will:

Communicate frequently with Coordinator and/or other program staff regarding student. progress and performance.
Demonstrate an understanding and acceptance of student differences (diversity) .
Maintain proper records & documentation and confidentiality of information.
Assess tutee status to determine areas of strengths/weaknesses.
Schedule and conduct tutorial sessions, either one-on-one or small group tutoring.
Maintain and document contact with assigned tutees.
Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times and be a positive role model for students.
Attend scheduled meetings, training sessions, workshops, seminars designed to enhance tutor/tutee experience.
Other duties as directed by the Coordinator/Counselor.
