Academic Advisor

This position will provide academic advisement to ECSU’s Office of Student Success and Retention constituents (freshmen, sophomores, undecided majors, and transfer students) through one-on-one meetings, workshops, or presentations regarding majors. Academic advisors will assist students in establishing degree requirements, academic progress, and selection of courses for future semesters. The academic advisor will assist students in educational planning and problem-solving and will provide appropriate resources and referrals to any other campus support services for information and aid in making academic and personal decisions. They will additionally advise students about academic standards, policies, programs, and student information systems available to facilitate their success. Occasional work may be required beyond normal working hours.
