Temporary Facilities Engineer (Multi-Positions)

The Temporary Facilities Engineer will assist the Director of Utilities and Engineering in supporting, implementing and managing a comprehensive, campus-wide (or multi-facility) energy and infrastructure management plan and provide knowledge of best practices in engineering, and/or energy management for existing and new facilities. These projects may include new buildings, infrastructure improvements, major and minor renovations and whole building modernizations.

The position will perform engineering skills to effectively implement and manage design decisions and facilitate energy saving campus-wide projects. Along with new buildings, work may include infrastructure improvements, major and minor renovations and whole building modernizations. The position will have responsibility for facilitating reductions to meet mandated and desired requirements. The position will work with university departments, as well as State and Federal entities.

This position has been designated as mandatory personnel for the University and may be required to report to work during adverse weather conditions, even though the University may be operating on an alternate schedule. This position may assist in the removal of snow, ice or debris as required.
