Loan Specialist

Financial Aid Loan Processing & Awarding: Efficiently pull, process, and award alternative (private) student loans and Federal Direct PLUS loans in accordance with institutional, federal, and state regulations.
Loan Modification & Lifecycle Management: Execute accurate and timely loan updates, adjustments, cancellations, and revisions for all federal and PLUS loan programs to maintain data integrity.
Specialized Institutional Loan Administration: Manage the end-to-end processing and tracking of the school’s in-house loan program (Jamieson Loan Program), ensuring compliance with internal policies and donor intent.
Case Management & Student Support: Oversee and resolve financial aid inquiries and workflows utilizing Salesforce CRM, ensuring a high level of customer service and timely response rates.
Proactive Account Resolution & Follow-Up: Monitor student accounts to identify financial aid holds, incomplete applications, or missing documentation. Routinely follow up with students and families to facilitate completion and prevent funding delays.
Compliance & Data Integrity: Maintain strict adherence to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) regulations, federal financial aid guidelines, and university data standards when handling sensitive student information.
