Media Technology Specialist II

This position supports the preparation, setup, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continued advancement of the university's immersive projection classroom and its Pixera-based visualization environment. Working closely with the lead technician assigned to the immersive classroom, this position assists with classroom operations, preventative maintenance, technical support, and instructional activities while developing expertise in immersive visualization technologies and advanced audiovisual systems.

The position assists in diagnosing and resolving technical issues, performs preventative maintenance, and helps ensure the reliable operation of the immersive classroom while supporting courses utilizing the immersive projection system. Working collaboratively with faculty, staff, and the lead technician assigned to the immersive classroom, this position provides technical support, production assistance, and classroom operational support while gaining experience with the design, implementation, and delivery of immersive instructional technologies.

Under direct to general supervision provide faculty, staff and students with technical assistance, support, and policy and procedure orientation on media equipment capabilities and operations.
