Audiology Clinical Extern

The 4th Year Extern Audiology scope of practice for this position will include; The performance of diagnostic and therapeutic audiological services on patients birth to adult who have, or wish to rule out hearing loss as the source of their communication disorders.

This would include hearing aid dispensing and fitting of assistive technology when appropriate. The performance of diagnostic vestibular evaluations on patients who wish to rule out peripheral vestibulopathy as the source of imbalance. The programming and diagnostic evaluation of pediatric cochlear implant patients.

All services will be provided under the supervision of a licensed audiologist serving as the 4th year Extern preceptor at the Callier-Dallas and Callier-Richardson locations.
