The Department of Management in the Fogelman College of Business & Economics actively seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor with a research specialization in Organizational Behavior (OB) and/or Human Resources Management (HRM), to begin in the fall semester of 2027, pending available funding. This is a 9-month appointment and offers competitive compensation, research support, and an attractive benefits program.

THE COLLEGE

The Fogelman College of Business and Economics has become a leading business school in the Southeast. Degree programs offered include the BBA, MBA, MA and MS, and PhD. The academic programs of the College are fully accredited by AACSB International. The College faculty of approximately 90 serves over 3,000 students, with approximately 2,300 undergraduates, 650 master's students, and 50 doctoral students. The Department of Management offers undergraduate degrees in both Management and Human Resource Management. Our highly-qualified faculty are recognized for their scholarship, publications, and editorships at leading academic journals. 

Maintaining a stream of high-quality research, effectively teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, mentoring doctoral students, participating in departmental activities, and fulfilling professional and university service responsibilities. 


The Department of Management is an academically diverse, research-oriented group with 15 full-time faculty members. Academic specializations include: HR/OB, D&I, entrepreneurship, and strategic management. The Department offers degree programs at all levels, including an active doctoral program, and is fully accredited by AACSB International.   • Candidates must have a Ph.D. with a concentration in management or a closely related discipline and show evidence of a strong research program targeting leading management journals (e.g., Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Journal of Business and Psychology). 

  • Specific research interests within OB or HRM are open. 

  • Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to effective university teaching, having expertise or evident potential to provide quality teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, in both face-to-face and online formats. 

  • Successful candidates should demonstrate ability to contribute to doctoral education and mentoring of doctoral students. 

  • Research or teaching experience incorporating AI is welcome, but not necessary. 

  • Successful candidates must demonstrate a commitment to providing rank-appropriate service at the program, department, and college levels.
